Lost Kite - Two (2013)

The second album from this Swedish duo. A Swedish father and son duo, Stefan and David.

We are deep into prog rock here. The father and son brands it symphonic prog. Well, take a big chunk from Anglagard and Anekdoten, take a lot of Camel and add Van Der Graaf Generator and Mr Anthony Phillips to the mix.

You get a lot of Swedish melancholy with the Moog and Melotrons used here. Add some Spanish guitars too and some vocals. The music is very cinematic and would suit a Swedish movie shot in the forest and on the coast outside Stockholm. A Swedish love story/tragedy in other words. The music is that cinematic and very pastoral. It is also mostly instrumental.

The end result is a very good to great album. I think it lacks some dynamics and a couple of great tracks to elevate it to a great status. It is no doubts this band should be added to the new talents list and it is more likely than not that this family band will deliver a killer album sometimes soon. Fans of Anglagard and Anekdoten should flash their credit card at this Bandcamp album and CD. Check it out at the link below.
