Fabio Celi e Gli Infermieri - Follia (1969)

The one and only album from this Italian band.

The main man in this band was the keyboardist and vocalist Fabio Celi and he hired in four other musicians. The lineup was a drums, bass, mouth harp, keyboards, guitars and vocals. Italian vocals.

This is one of the first bands from the rock and RPI scene in Italy. It is to a large extent the first ever RPI affiliated album.

The music here is a mix of beat music, Italian pop, psychedelic rock and hard rock. And we get forty minutes of this music here.

The sound is reasonable good. The keyboards, make that organs, sounds like Moog at times and gives the sound a bit of a pastoral feeling. There are also a lot of harder edged music here and the band knows how to rock hard.

The music is melodic too with a significant Italian pop feel. So we are getting a lot here. A lot, but not much progressive rock. But there is enough here to interest even the prog rock fans.

The quality of the music is not too bad either. This is by no means a good album. But there are some pieces here which makes this a decent album and one to check out if RPI is your main interest. Don't ignore this album.
