Finch - Galleon Of Passion (1977)

The third and final studio album by this Dutch band.

Finch always operated within the instrumental symphonic prog genre and this album is not any exception from this rule. There is a lot of fusion too in their music. Camel is a good reference.

The music is performed with the usual guitars, keyboards, drums and bass setup. Nothing unusual there. The music is pretty intense and in the fusion/symph border land. The music is also pretty hard at times. Intense and hard. The sound is great.

The music is good too. Unfortunate, it never rises above that level. Finch has a very good reputation and I am a bit disappointed that this and their two other albums is not to my liking. It is still a good album, well worth checking out.
