Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (1975)

This one does not really deserve a review on a small blog like The Sound Of Fighting Cats. But for the first time in my life, I am listening through the whole Pink Floyd disco. So here follows some words about Wish You Were Here.

The album starts with the first part of the Syd Barrett tribute Shine On You Crazy Diamond. A truly brilliant track and one of the best songs ever. A couple of very good songs follows before the brilliant title track arrives. The final part of Shine On You Crazy Diamond closes this album.

Wish You Were Here is one of the giants of the classic rock and prog rock history. It's position is justified. It is a superb album. I still think it could had been better. It is too pedestrian for my liking. But Wish You Were Here is still a superb album.
