The debut album and so far the only sign of life from this Spanish band.
Ignatius is a four piece band with the usual setup of keyboards, guitars, bass, drums and English vocals. The vocals are good, but not the star on this album. The more instrumental parts here are the really good stuff.
The band is listed as crossover prog in ProgArchives and justifiable so. They are a crossover band between good old symphonic prog from the 1970s and more recent neo-prog.
This one hour long album offers up a lot of classic prog like prog rock. That means soaring songs and dramatic melody lines. A bit theatrical symphonic prog mixed with some more down to earth neo-prog is the recipe here.
The music is good to very good throughout. It is not the most exciting album I have ever heard. Some of the music here is a delight to behold though. Hence my rating.
