The second album from this French band.
Gambit is one of those bands who has grown up with the likes of Ange and Mona Lisa as an obvious inspiration. The instruments are the same. Keyboards, guitars, bass, drums and French vocals.
And yes, there are some Ange similarities here. Gambit is sailing more in a neo-prog direction though and is meeting Ange around half way in their sailing. Gambit's vocals is not as theatrical as Mr. Deschamps and the sound and music is much more less theatrical than Ange. Gambit is a much more mainstream neo prog band than Ange was and far less leaning on symphonic prog.
The end result is an hour long album which has some very good stuff and some less pleasing stuff. The songs are good. I would had preferred much more Ange influences. But this is still a very good album and well worth checking out. I think I will get their debut album too.
