Yes - Relayer (1974)
Their seventh album.
This album does not really need any introduction. Hence this short review.
Relayere is one of the best known prog rock albums. In quality, it is just below their best albums too. The opening twenty-two minutes long Gates Of Delirium is a masterpiece. It also incorporate the surprise radio-edit single Soon. I prefer the full Gates Of Delirium though. The final two songs Sound Chaser and To Be Over is not brilliant though. They are still great songs and well worth inclusion on this album.
Relayer is not as dense symphonic as Tales From Topographic Oceans. It is still Yes at full symphonic prog flow.
Relayer is not as good as Close To The Edge. It is still a great album everyone should check out. Enough said.
